LOWVILLE POLICE: Local resident charged for allegedly violating protection order

LOWVILLE- A local resident in the village is accused of violating a court order, authorities say.

David A. Gerdon III, 29, of Lowville, NY was charged by the Village Police Department on Saturday with criminal contempt in the second-degree.

According to Chief of Police Daryl Ortlieb, Gerdon III allegedly violated an order of protection via Lowville Town Court by communicating with the victim of a separate town court proceeding.

Gerdon III was issued with an appearance ticket. 

There were no further details released at press time.
