Lowville VFW: 'Fuel our Vets' now in its fourth year; area veterans encouraged to sign up for fuel vouchers

LOWVILLE- On Thursday, November 6, 2025, spokesperson for 'Fuel our Vets,' Randa Ortlieb, joined North Country News and discussed the fourth upcoming fuel voucher drawings for area veterans.

The goal, according to Ortlieb, is to provide assistance to struggling veterans and active service members in way of fuel vouchers. 

Veterans from around the North Country area are encouraged to visit the Lowville VFW from Saturday, November 8 through Tuesday, November 11 (Veterans Day) and sign up to potentially be drawn to win one of these vouchers.  

Thanks to donations collected since last-year, officials say nearly $15,000 in vouchers will be given out this year.
