Menacing incident at area fast food establishment results in felony, misdemeanor charge against Rome suspect

ROME- A local suspect is faced with charges for allegedly menacing a victim at an area fast food establishment.

The City Police Department received a call around 4:30 p.m. on Monday about a menacing incident at Wendy’s (Erie Boulevard West).

While speaking with the female victim, officers learned that an unknown female suspect approached the victim while she was eating and threatened her with a knife.

The suspect quickly fled the scene, but police successfully identified her as Nyquasia S. Morris, 29, of Rome, NY.

She was soon apprehended and charged with one felony count of criminally possessing a weapon in the third-degree and one misdemeanor of menacing in the second-degree.

Following an appearance at centralized arraignment, police said that Morris was held on bail.
