LYONS FALLS- A blaze that destroyed a trailer home early Friday was possibly sparked due to an electrical issue, emergency responders are reporting.
Lyons Falls Fire Department was dispatched shortly before 1:45 a.m. to a trailer at 6974 Laura Street.
A female caller told 9-1-1 dispatch that the trailer was on fire. By the time firefighters arrived, everyone inside managed to get out safely.
Mutual aid was requested from Constableville, Port Leyden and Turin Fire Departments were all requested for mutual aid.
Due to rapidly spreading flames, the structure and all contents within ended up being a total loss, Lewis County Office of Emergency Management said.
Because the structure was deemed so unstable, equipment from Town of West Turin was utilized to tear it down.
The property is reportedly owned by Adam Poore. Occupants included Tracy and Brett Wadsworth, Megan Miller and children, officials said.
The Red Cross is currently assisting.
Although the blaze remains under investigation, emergency officials said it's possibly electrical in nature.
Members from the Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, Village of Lyons Falls and National Grid all assisted.
