
LOWVILLE- A local man is faced with charges for allegedly trespassing and tampering with equipment at a local manufacturing plant in Lewis County.
William E. Therrien Jr., 36, (homeless) is formally charged by the Village of Lowville Police with criminal trespass and criminal tampering in the third-degrees.
Chief of Police Daryl Ortlieb alleges that Therrien Jr. trespassed on the property of Qubica AMF.
It's reported that Therrien Jr. had been previously fired and banned from the facility since early 2023.
On November 3, 2024, it's alleged that he trespassed on the property and shut off a main boiler unit.
He was confronted by an employee. The misdemeanor charges were filed a few weeks later.
At press time, police said that Therrien Jr. was issued with appearance tickets, which are returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.
