Man accused of threatening mass harm inside Oneida County Courthouse, investigators say

UTICA- A Mohawk Valley man is accused of threatening mass harm inside the Oneida County Courthouse, authorities say.

Anthony J. Russell (no age provided), of Rome, NY was arrested by the Rome Police Department Tuesday morning. He is officially charged with one misdemeanor count of threatening mass harm.

Police say the arrest stems from complaints of an alleged incident Monday afternoon at the Oneida County Courthouse in Utica, NY.

Russell was located the following day at Rome DSS, where he was taken into custody and handed over to the Sheriff’s Office.

He was processed and released with an appearance ticket, due to bail reform.
