FLOYD- A man from Oneida County is charged in an alleged domestic incident, according to authorities.

James Hayes, 33, of Rome, NY was arrested Sunday by the Sheriff’s Office. He is officially charged with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree and one misdemeanor count of aggravated harassment in the second-degree.

Deputies say the arrest stems from complaints of a domestic incident, which reportedly occurred in the town of Floyd on the same day.

Details describing the reported incident were not provided by police.

At press time, deputies said Hayes was processed and held, pending an arraignment in the county’s central arraignment court.
