ONEIDA COUNTY- A local man has posted bond from jail after allegedly choking two children and threatening to sexually assault one of them in Northern Oneida County, authorities say.
Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy and Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, Derrick O'Meara, reports that investigators arrested Robert Nagy, 36, of Boonville, NY last Friday.
Nagy is formally charged with 2 misdemeanor counts of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing (or blood circulation) and 4 misdemeanor counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Officials say these charges stem from a physical altercation that took place at Nagy's home in the Town of Boonville.
It is alleged that during the altercation, Nagy choked two children, who were both under the age of 11.
Furthermore, investigators report that Nagy pulled one of the children's pants down and threatened to sexually assault the child.
Nagy was arraigned in CAP Court at the Oneida County Correctional Facility. He was remanded to the facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, or $25,000 bond.
With that said, Nagy was subsequently released the following day after posting $25,000 bond.
An Order of Protection has been issued on behalf of the victim's and services have been offered to the children through the Child Advocacy Center.
