Man involved in alleged Lewis County crash charged with aggravated DWI; had .30% BAC, deputies say

WATSON- A North Country man had a reported BAC over three-times the legal limit after smashing into a parked car early Saturday in Lewis County, investigators say.

It happened shortly after 2:00 a.m. near 6832 Pine Grove Road, town of Watson.

According to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, Brian P. Mullen, 33, of Watertown, NY was operating a 2016 Chrysler Minivan southbound. Deputies say he went off the road and smashed into a vehicle in a parking lot.

During investigation, police allege that Mullen appeared intoxicated. He subsequently failed field sobriety tests on-scene and was taken to the Public Safety Building.

During processing, it's reported that Mullen registered a .30% BAC.

He was officially charged with aggravated DWI and released with an appearance ticket.

No further details were provided from the Sheriff's Office.
