Man struck by car in Rome succumbs to injuries in hospital

ONEIDA COUNTY- Authorities have confirmed the man who was struck by a car last week in the city of Rome, NY has died from his injuries.

Ty’Sean Richardson, 20, of Rome, NY was rushed to the hospital on the evening of Wednesday, December 7 after he was hit by a car.

Police say the incident took place shortly before 5:30 p.m., towards the intersection of Black River Boulevard and East Oak Street.

According to investigators, Richardson succumbed to his injuries Saturday.

The investigation remains ongoing, but Rome Police officials have cut out drug and alcohol involvement.
