BOONVILLE- No severe injuries have been reported in the wake of a motor vehicle accident last Friday afternoon in Boonville, where a car drove partially underneath a tractor trailer.

It happened in the downtown area, where construction crews have been milling and paving several streets.

According to the Fire Chief Dave Pritchard Jr., a female driver pulled out from an establishment onto Main Street (near where the roadway splits to go by the Post Office) and ended up crashing into a tractor trailer rig that was passing by.

The car had partially gone underneath the trailer, resulting in significant damage to the hood and front.

Fortunately, local emergency responders reported no severe injuries. With that said, the female driver was taken to a Utica area hospital for further evaluation.

Boonville Village Police Department is handling the investigation.
