
LEE- A single vehicle accident on New Year’s evening resulted in minor injuries in Oneida County, authorities say.
Emergency responders were called out shortly before 6:30 p.m. to the Frenchtown Road, town of Lee.
According to investigation via the Sheriff’s Office, April M. Phelps, 38, of Annsville, NY was driving a 2011 GMC Yukon northbound and went off the roadway.
The vehicle ended up striking a tree off the western shoulder of the roadway.
Deputies say that Phelps and her two passengers, one who is a juvenile and Brianna Andrews, of Vernon, were all taken to Rome Memorial Hospital for evaluation. Injuries were described as minor, police said at press time.
Phelps received several citations, which were not specified by police and are all returnable to Lee Town Court.
New York State Police, Lee Center Fire Department, AmCare Ambulance and Clayton’s Auto all assisted.
