Unfortunately, we don’t have much good news to report in terms of trail conditions.
Although there seems to be some conditions that allow for riding, the vast majority of reports we have received Friday indicate trail closures and deteriorating trails amidst recent heavy rains and wind.
If you’re out riding, expect to encounter various water and mud hazards, along with thin spots.
Here are the latest updates we’ve gathered:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: No grooming until further notice.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Lower trails CLOSED; upper trails are in poor to fair shape; no grooming.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Lower trails CLOSED; upper trails are thin and not enough snow for grooming.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.
Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: Northern trails have a firmer base; southern trails are thinner, with “snirt.”
Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails are CLOSED.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Trails are marginal to fair; two-to-six-inches of base.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Trails are CLOSED.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: West Leyden and Constableville Trails are CLOSED; bad and good conditions reported on Tug Hill.
Trackside Blazers: Trails are CLOSED.
Turin Ridge Riders: Conditions have deteriorated; some lower trails have been CLOSED.
Valley Snow Travelers: All Lowville and Maples Trails are CLOSED.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
