Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Friday, January 23, 2026

WHAT A WEEK IT HAS BEEN.
Ever since the lake effect machines fired up a-few days ago, parts of the Tug Hill Plateau, including primarily Lowville and surrounding areas, have been getting punished with snowfall.
Fortunately for the snowmobile clubs in that region, this certainly has kept them busy digging out and re-setting the trails.
Even better, there has been enough snow that ended up wandering a little further south to boost other trail systems that were wearing thin.
Do keep in mind that it will be extremely cold this weekend (check out our latest NWS coverage from Friday, January 23, 2206).
Here are some of the latest trail reports we’ve gathered from around the local area (check out the latest NYSSA map):

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Groomers have been busy with lots of fresh snowfall.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: No updates since January 17, but trails remain open.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Trails are open, with very good conditions reported.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Fresh snowfall reported, trails are open.
Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Groomers are scheduled to be out this weekend.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: Traffic has been picking up and groomers have been out.
Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails are being groomed and will be groomed this weekend.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Good to great conditions remain and are expected.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Groomers have been working steady.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Steady sled traffic and busy groomers.
Trackside Blazers: Groomers were out Thursday night on several trails.
Turin Ridge Riders: Groomers have been busy and the trails are good.
Valley Snow Travelers: Plenty of fresh snow and groomers are busy.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
