Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Friday, January 27, 2023
As the weekend arrives, it appears as if the snowmobiling conditions are finally good enough to allow widespread riding.
Although we didn’t get any blockbuster snow this week, there was enough to jumpstart the vast majority of trail systems here locally.
We have received numerous hazard reports, including fallen trees, waterholes and etc. Riding activity has seemed to increase.
Here are the latest updates we’ve gathered:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Trails have re-opened and groomers have begun working; trails have thin coverage.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Grooming has resumed.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Trails are open; coverage varies and grooming will begin soon.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: All trails have re-opened; avoid West Leyden Trail for now.
Missing Link Snowmobile Club: About 6-inches of snow; use caution.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: All trails have re-opened (except for C4J); conditions vary.
Ohio Ridge Riders: As of this week, most trails have re-opened; seasonal roads have been good and groomers have been working.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Trails are good; snow coverage has improved and up to 6-inches of base.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: C7A (South Trenton) to C7 to Alder Creek; S75A (Marcy) to C7R to C7 to Alder Creek are open.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: All trails are open; good coverage on Tug Hill Trails/seasonal roads.
Trackside Blazers: Trails have re-opened; all groomers are expected to run for the weekend.
Turin Ridge Riders: All trails are open; groomers have been out on Tug Hill.
Valley Snow Travelers: Groomers are working and trails have re-opened.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
