Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Thursday, February 16, 2022
Unfortunately, we still don’t have much good news to report in terms of trail conditions.
There hasn’t been any significant snow this month and so far, we continue in a warmer weather pattern. We have witnessed temperatures this week over 50-degrees.
If you’re out riding, expect to encounter various water and mud hazards, along with thin spots.
It seems like folks who are encountering whatever riding is available now have been focused around Highmarket and seasonal roads on Tug Hill.
Here are the latest updates we’ve gathered:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Trails continue deteriorating; some Tug Hill trails/seasonal roads are holding up.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: CLOSED.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: All trails are CLOSED.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.
Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: Best coverage has been Cedar Pines and north.
Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails are CLOSED.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Marginal conditions; overall (ice) base is 1-3-inches; most trails are very thin.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Trails are CLOSED.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: No grooming planned; West Leyden and C-ville Trails CLOSED; best coverage near Highmarket.
Trackside Blazers: Trails are CLOSED.
Turin Ridge Riders: Conditions have deteriorated; some good and some thin conditions on Tug Hill seasonal trails.
Valley Snow Travelers: All Lowville and Maples Trails CLOSED; Tug Hill trails have been usable.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
