Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Thursday, February 26, 2026

Spring is approaching, but it looks like the overall short term temperature pattern is going to remain mostly below average as we wrap up February and head into early March.
After the first few days in March, National Weather Service temperature outlooks are hinting at a significantly warmer pattern throughout most of the country, including here in the northeast.
Keep in mind that this time of year is when the trail conditions can start to become unpredictable and can change on a day to day basis.
It seems like groomers have been rolling all over the North Country. Here are some of the latest trail reports we’ve gathered from around the local area:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Trails have improved with some fresh snowfall.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Groomers have been out this week.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: No recent updates, but expect hard trail conditions.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Conditions remain good and groomers are out.
Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Groomers have been out towards Maples and Great Bend.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: Expect hard trails.
Ohio Ridge Riders: Some fresh snowfall reported. Groomers have been out.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Good conditions reported.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Groomers have been out consistently.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Riding is expected to be good for the upcoming weekend.
Trackside Blazers: Trails remain in good shape.
Turin Ridge Riders: Trails have been groomed for the weekend.
Valley Snow Travelers: Trails on Tug Hill have been groomed.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
