Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Tuesday, February 14, 2023

Published on February 14, 2023

Turin Ridge Riders Sled February 2023

Unfortunately, we still don’t have much good news to report in terms of trail conditions.

There hasn’t been any significant snow this month and so far, we continue in a warmer weather pattern. In fact, the National Weather Service is calling for high temperatures this week into the lower 50’s.

If you’re out riding, expect to encounter various water and mud hazards, along with thin spots.

It seems like folks who are encountering the best riding conditions available now have been focused around Highmarket and seasonal roads on Tug Hill.

Here are the latest updates we’ve gathered:

NOTE: Conditions are likely and do tend to change on a moment’s notice. Be sure to keep checking our website for any updates.

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: No grooming until further notice. Riders report poor conditions.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Lower trails CLOSED; upper trails are in fair shape; no grooming.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Lower trails CLOSED; upper trails are thin and not enough snow for grooming.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.

Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: Best coverage has been Cedar Pines and north.

Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails are CLOSED.

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Trails are marginal to fair; some trails are very thin and have standing water.

Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Trails are CLOSED.

Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: No grooming planned this week; best coverage is near Highmarket.

Trackside Blazers: Trails are CLOSED.

Turin Ridge Riders: Conditions have deteriorated; lower trails CLOSED; some recent grooming on seasonal roads.

Valley Snow Travelers: All Lowville and Maples Trails CLOSED; trails to Tabolts Corners and Montague have recently been groomed.

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
