Southern Tug Hill Sno Riders Groomer February 2023

Riding remains extremely limited, but things might take a turn for the better this week.

The National Weather Service is hinting towards a winter storm, which is expected to work its way through Wednesday night and into Thursday.

If you’re up riding as of this report, expect whatever trails are open to be on the thinner side and some icy conditions.

Here are the latest updates we’ve gathered:

NOTE: Conditions are likely and do tend to change on a moment’s notice. Be sure to keep checking our website for any updates.

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Trails have been fair; ice base and no grooming for now. 

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: All trails are CLOSED.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.

Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: No updates since February 12; best coverage has been Cedar Pines and north. 

Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails are CLOSED. 

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Marginal conditions; 1-2-inches of intermittent base.

Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Trails are CLOSED. 

Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Hard and icy base near Highmarket; groomers attempted going out over the weekend.

Trackside Blazers: Trails are CLOSED.

Turin Ridge Riders: Riding is limited to the seasonal roads; ice base reported.

Valley Snow Travelers: No updates since February 14; all Lowville and Maples Trails CLOSED.

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
