CROGHAN- A local woman is accused of aggravated intoxicated driving and several other infractions following a crash last fall in Lewis County, authorities say.

It was shortly after midnight on November 24 when emergency responders were called out to the Long Pond Road, town of Croghan.

The Sheriff’s Office says a 2008 Chevy Silverado was heading east and went off the roadway and into a snowbank. The truck was reportedly being operated by Melissa J. Ligammari-Dutton, 46, of Castorland, NY.

Police said she appeared intoxicated. After reportedly failing field sobriety tests on-scene, Ligammari-Dutton was processed.

Toxicology results suggested her BAC was .19%. She was formally charged with aggravated DWI, along with DWI and other unspecified traffic infractions.

Ligammari-Dutton was released with appearance tickets.

All charges are returnable to Croghan Town Court.
