Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Wednesday, February 5, 2025
Snowmobiling 2025 marches on across upstate New York and the North Country.
February has arrived and the snowmobiling conditions so far this season have been second to none. The snowpack remains very healthy across the Central and Northern New York regions.
Not much has changed for the worst, but it looks like a mix of wintery weather is in store for Thursday across much of the region before the weekend arrives.
Here are some of the latest reports we’ve gathered from around the local area:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Conditions are expected to be good this week.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Groomers were out Tuesday night to Lyons Falls and Confusion Flats.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Grooming continues and trails in great shape.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Excellent conditions and good snow coverage reported.
Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Groomers were out Tuesday towards Great Bend, Copenhagen and Maples.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: No new reports since January 25.
Ohio Ridge Riders: Groomers have been busy and the trails remain good.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Conditions continue to be good.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Most trails are groomed and conditions remain good.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Good snow coverage throughout and groomers have been out.
Trackside Blazers: Groomers went out Tuesday from Alder Creek to Otter Lake and to Thendara.
Turin Ridge Riders: All trails are open and lower trails have improved with better snow coverage.
Valley Snow Travelers: Groomers have been out on Tug Hill and towards Lowville.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
