HERKIMER COUNTY- The Town of Webb has a new Chief of Police.

On Tuesday, Webb Clerk, Nanci Russell, led a ceremony to swear-in Jason Mulcahy, a native to Rochester, NY, as the new Police Chief.

Chief Mulcahy served his country by joining the U.S. Marines before becoming a New York State Trooper, a career that lasted 21-years.

He retired this-year with the rank of an investigator.

According to a post from Town of Webb Police on their social media page, Chief Mulcahy looks forward to serving and protecting the folks of the Western Adirondacks.

"Chief Mulcahy admires and respects the Adirondack region and understands it's uniqueness when it comes to policing," the department added.
