Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Wednesday, January 10, 2024
Another riding season is now officially here, and boy it’s been a slow start.
There are clubs throughout the Tug Hill Region and beyond that have started to groom the trails, but be warned of likely debris from a strong wind event that impacted much of New York State Tuesday night.
As a result from Tuesday's wind and rainstorm, there are numerous clubs that have temporarily shut down their trail systems.
For any trails that are open, riders are warned to use extra caution and look out for any fallen trees, limbs and other debris.
In the meantime if you’re up to ride, here some of the latest reports from out on the trails:
Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: No grooming yet.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Trails were opened as of Sunday; expect early season conditions.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Trails were opened this week, but coverage is thin and groomers have yet to be out.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails are temporarily CLOSED.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: Most trails were opened this week; conditions vary.

NOTE: Conditions are likely and do tend to change on a moment’s notice. Be sure to keep checking our website for any updates.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
