Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Wednesday, March 11, 2026

Though a cold snap is expected for this middle portion of March, it appears that the end has arrived.

There are now several trail closures confirmed all around the region. Since last week, a huge portion of our North Country area snowpack has taken quite a dent.

Several areas are now showing bare ground, with just patches and piles of snow leftover.

At best, there are some spring like to fair conditions on the seasonal roads around Tug Hill.

Marginal to fair conditions continue being reported in the Old Forge and Western Adirondacks, too.

Here are some of the latest trail reports we’ve gathered from around the local area:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: All lower trails are CLOSED; grooming remains suspended and expect spring conditions on seasonal roads.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: All trails are CLOSED.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.

Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Trails are CLOSED.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: No updates since March 5.

Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails are CLOSED.

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Marginal conditions reported.

Penn Mountain Snow Riders: No updates since March 4.

Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Grooming remains suspended; Constableville and West Leyden Trails are CLOSED; riding near Swancott Mills and Highmarket should be done with extreme caution.

Trackside Blazers: No updates since March 3.

Turin Ridge Riders: Grooming remains suspended; lower trails remain CLOSED; Tug Hill Trails remain open.

Valley Snow Travelers: No updates since March 5.

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
