"Multiple" patients receive treatment in wake of two-car MVA in town of Western

WESTERN- A two-car motor vehicle accident late Sunday afternoon in Oneida County resulted in multiple patients receiving treatment from medical personnel.

It was shortly before 5:30 p.m. when emergency responders were dispatched to the corner of State Route 46 and Gifford Hill Road in the town of Western for an accident involving two vehicles.

Members from Western Fire Department said they found both vehicles blocking the roadway upon arrival.

Emergency officials said multiple patients were treated on-scene. Some of them were taken to local hospitals for further treatment by AmCare Ambulance.

The scene was cleared shortly after 6:00 p.m. and the case has been turned over to the Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.
