National average gas price drops nearly 20-cents over the last month, AAA says

The national average price for a gallon of fuel is just north of $3.65 as of this report, nearly 20-cents cheaper than last-month and nearly 30-cents less than a year-ago now.

Meanwhile in New York, our state average hovers just below $3.85, down slightly since last month’s median price of $3.88.

Last-year around this time, an average gallon of gas in New York State cost $3.65.

Here locally, gas prices have ranged as low as $3.85 in Lowville, NY and $3.96 in Boonville, NY.

According to GasBuddy, pump prices in the Syracuse, NY region range as low as $3.74 as of this report, while prices up north in the Watertown, NY area range slightly less – as low as $3.71.

Meanwhile in the Utica, NY region, gas prices are as low as $3.89 and as low as $3.79 in Rome, NY.
