New Bremen and Croghan Fire Departments respond to Clear Path Solar Farm on Brewery Road for reports of smoke

LEWIS COUNTY- Emergency responders were on the scene of a North Country solar farm Tuesday morning after calls came in to 9-1-1 dispatch reporting a fire.

It happened shortly after 10:15 a.m. at Clear Path Solar Farm, located on the Brewery Road, right next-door to Farney Lumber, just outside of Croghan, NY.

Within a short while, fire fighters had already returned to their stations. From a distance, a centralized pocket of smoke could be witnessed from the roadside.

Details are very limited as of this report, but we were told by numerous responders on scene that representatives from Clear Path would be arriving to examine and firefighters would be called back to the scene, if necessary.

If anything new develops from emergency officials, we will share another update.
