
As we approach the brand-new year, statewide average gas prices are nearly ten-cents cheaper than where they were last-year.
At least that’s according to the latest from the AAA. As of this report, New York’s average price for a gallon of gas is $3.41.
Meanwhile, the latest national average hovers at $3.10. Last-year at this time, New York gas prices averaged right around $3.50 and only kept climbing through winter and into summer, reaching over $5 per-gallon.
Russia’s blitz against Ukraine was the primary factor in skyrocketing gas prices at home and around the globe, the AAA has reported.
As of this report, GasBuddy reported gas prices as low as $3.43 in Lowville. In Boonville, NY, prices have been just shy of $3.60.
A listener reported to us from Watertown with gas prices at $2.94. If you look out towards Syracuse, NY, you will find gas prices as low as $3.35 as of this report, according to GasBuddy.
