This fall will mark the return of what students once knew was a normal school routine before the first stage of the COVID pandemic.
According to New York Governor Kathy Hochul and her State Department of Health, students returning to the classroom this fall will no longer be required to quarantine when exposed to someone with the virus.
This development is one of many adjustments that have been made with schools and COVID guidance statewide.
In addition, universal masking in schools is not required heading into the start of this brand-new school year. "Today, we are making sure that state and federal guidance is aligned so that students and educators can enter the classroom with confidence and have a safe, healthy school year,” the Governor said.
