The temperatures have started climbing above freezing during the day and have been below freezing at night.
That means it’s getting to be maple season here in the North Country, as several producers are gearing up their sugar shacks to gather that sweet liquid gold.
During Saturday and Sunday, March 22 – 23 & 29 – 30, New York will be celebrating its traditional Maple Weekend, a time where you can go visit your nearest maple producers and experience the several methods in which sap is collected and boiled down into one of New York’s top crops.
