No injuries reported in snowmobile fire near the city of Rome: OCSO

ROME- No injuries were reported in the wake of a snowmobile fire last Friday in Oneida County.

It happened shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Trail C7 in the city of Rome, NY. Investigators via the Sheriff’s Office say that members from New London Fire Department managed to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported, but police said the machine caught fire due to a mechanical issue.

As of this publication, the trail remains open, the machine has been removed and the club was notified.
