
FLOYD- No major injuries were reported in the wake of a collision Monday afternoon in Oneida County, authorities say.
It happened shortly before 2:00 p.m. on State Route 365 in the town of Floyd, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Investigation as of this report suggests that a 2004 Honda CRV, operated by Mary Koperda, 76, of Floyd, was driving west when she failed to maintain her lane, causing her to cross over the center line into the opposite lane of traffic, striking a 2017 Mazda CX5 operated by Isabella Plummer, 23, of Syracuse, NY.
The collision caused airbags in both vehicles to deploy.
Koperda was transported to Rome Health for non-life-threatening injuries received from the accident.
Meanwhile, Plummer was evaluated on scene by Floyd Fire and signed off.
Patrol Deputies were assisted on scene by Floyd Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance.
