
ONEIDA COUNTY- A driver involved in a three vehicle accident (w/injuries) over the weekend in Oneida County is faced with a charge for following too closely, emergency responders are reporting.
It was shortly before 11:00 a.m. Saturday when the Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of State Route 365 and Pierce Rd in the Town of Trenton for a reported three-car personal injury motor vehicle accident.
On scene, Deputies determined that Ann Razzano-Stedman (59) of Poland, NY, was operating a gray 2021 Mazda SUV West on State Route 365 in the Town of Trenton.
Ann was attempting to make a left-hand turn at the time she was struck from behind by a 2005 Toyota pickup truck operated by John Voninski (75) of Manlius, NY.
Ann's vehicle left the roadway off the northern shoulder, entered the driveway of a residence on State Route 365, and struck a parked 2016 Chevrolet Equinox.
The Equinox then struck the residence, causing minor damages. The Equinox was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
All three vehicles sustained heavy damage. Ann was transported to Rome Hospital by Star Ambulance for an injury to her mouth and various complaints of pain.
The driver and passenger of the Toyota pickup, Sharon Voninski (75), were evaluated at the scene for minor complaints of pain and released.
John was issued a ticket for following to be closely, returnable to the Town of Trenton Court at a later date.
Members of Holland Patent Fire Department, Barneveld Fire Department, STAR Ambulance, Shufelt's Towing of Remsen, and Nimey's Lube of Barneveld all assisted.
