North Country area resident charged with DWI after patrols investigate illegally parked vehicle on Bardo Road

LOWVILLE- A North Country area resident was arrested for alleged DWI after patrols investigated a vehicle that was parked illegally.

It was during the noon hour on Tuesday when Lewis County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated an illegally parked vehicle on the Bardo Road, town of Lowville.

While interviewing with Eric T. Swartz, 58, of Watertown, NY, the alleged driver, police said they suspected he was under the influence. After failing filed sobriety tests on-scene, Swartz was taken to the Public Safety Building for processing.

At press time, police said that Swartz was released on appearance tickets, which are returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.

Village of Lowville Police and Turcks Towing both assisted.
