North Country Congresswoman Stefanik nominates Jim Jordan (R-OH) for Speaker of U.S. House of Representatives

WASHINGTON, D.C.- North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21) has formally nominated Jim Jordan (R-OH) to potentially become next speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Our friend and colleague Jim Jordan is a patriot. He is an America First warrior who wins the toughest of fights - going after corruption and delivering accountability at the highest levels of government on behalf of We The People,” she said during her address this week.

It’s reported that Jordan has had high favor of former President Donald Trump.

According to the latest from the Associated Press, there are a handful of Republicans within the House currently refusing to support Jordan with their votes.

This development comes to light since former Speaker Kevin McCarthy was booted from his seat amid political squabbling within the House.
