North Country resident accused of unlicensed operation in wake of Lewis County personal injury accident

DIANA- A local resident is charged with unlicensed operation in the wake of a personal injury accident last Thursday in Lewis County, authorities say.

Joseph J. Langs, 41, of Harrisville, NY was arrested by the New York State Police (Carthage) last Thursday afternoon and formally charged with one misdemeanor count of aggravated unlicensed operation in the second-degree.

According to Troopers, the charge stems from a reported personal injury accident on State Route 3 in the town of Diana.

Investigators said one person was injured, but specifics were not described at press time.

As of this publication, authorities said that Langs was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
