North Country resident accused of felony grand larceny in Jefferson County: TROOPERS

LE RAY- A North Country resident is faced with a felony accusation stemming from a larceny investigation in Jefferson County, authorities say.

McKenzie L. Smart, 25, of Carthage, NY was arrested on Monday afternoon by the New York State Police (Watertown). Smart is formally charged with one felony count of grand larceny in the fourth-degree (property values > $1,000).

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a larceny complaint in the town of Le Ray.

At press time, police said that Smart was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
