North Country resident accused of violating sex offender registry: LCSO

DENMARK- A North Country resident is accused of violating the sex offender registry, authorities say.

Brandon R. Chapel, 28, of Natural Bridge, NY was arrested last Wednesday by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office for two felony counts of violating the sex offender registry.

Furthermore, police said that Chapel was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of aggravated harassment in the second-degree.

At press time, police said that Chapel was arraigned and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash and/or $2,000 bond.
