
LE RAY- A North Country resident is faced with felony and misdemeanor accusations in the wake of a Jefferson County fraud case.
Joshua E. Constance, 40, of Carthage, NY was arrested and charged on Thursday morning by the New York State Police (Watertown) with two felony counts each of possessing a forged instrument in the first-degree and identify theft in the first-degree.
In addition, Constance was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminally possessing stolen property in the fifth-degree.
According to Troopers, these charges were filed in the wake of a fraud investigation in the town of Le Ray.
At press time, police said that an investigation was pending. Meanwhile, Constance’s arrest status suggested he was held (without bail).
