WASHINGTON, D.C. - Elise Stefanik’s nomination to serve under President Trump’s cabinet as the U.S. Ambassador for the United Nations has now been yanked away, according to numerous sources.

In the days after Mr. Trump was declared the President Elect last November, he announced that Stefanik, the North Country Representative for NY-21, was his number one choice for the job.

She gratefully accepted the nod and over the winter months, Stefanik paraded parts of her district on a farewell tour and there have been headlines floating around regarding who would be her replacement during a special election.

On the other hand, in a social media post Thursday afternoon, President Trump all of a sudden reversed his decision and announced that Stefanik’s nomination was pulled, citing a “very tight majority” in Congress.

“I don’t want to take a chance on anyone else running for Elise’s seat,” the President wrote on his Truth Social page.

“I have asked Elise, as one of my biggest Allies, to remain in Congress to help me deliver Historic Tax Cuts, GREAT Jobs, Record Economic Growth, a Secure Border, Energy Dominance, Peace Through Strength, and much more, so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”

Stefanik was first elected to her 21st Congressional Seat in 2014.
