North Country resident facing domestic dispute related charges in Jefferson County

WILNA- A North Country area resident is faced with charges filed stemming from a Jefferson County domestic dispute this week.

During the late evening hours on Wednesday, the New York State Police (Lowville) arrested and charged Dorice J. Cannon, 37, of Carthage, NY with one misdemeanor count each of acting in a manner injurious to a child (under the age of 17) and assault in the third-degree (w/intent to cause physical injury).

According to Troopers, these charges were filed in the wake of a reported domestic dispute Wednesday evening in the town of Wilna.

At press time, Cannon’s arrest status claimed an appearance for centralized arraignment.
