NEW BREMEN- A North Country juvenile is accused of threatening mass harm at a Lewis County school, authorities have revealed.

On Friday, the Sheriff’s Office in Lowville, NY arrested a 16-year-old teenage student and charged them with a misdemeanor count of making a threat of mass harm.

Investigators say the arrest stems from an incident this week on Wednesday, where a verbal threat was made at Beaver River Central School.

Fortunately, no one was physically harmed, deputies confirmed.

A name or a gender of the suspected student was not provided.

At press time, police said the teenage subject has been suspended and issued with appearance tickets, which will be handled in via the probation department in family court.

There were no further details provided.
