Nortz & Virkler Ford Dealership in Lowville closes its doors following over a century of service

LOWVILLE- The Nortz & Virkler Ford Dealership in Lowville, NY has closed its doors.

This development stems from a letter, which was delivered to customers in early October, stating that Nortz & Virkler has ended its affiliation with Ford Motor Company, effective November 1.

With 107-years of service to the North Country, the Nortz family says this was not an easy choice – one they certainly don’t take lightly. “This decision has been two-years in the making,” the letter reads.

“While it is difficult to be sure, it is the best available option to our family.”

To be clear, all business relations will be transferred to Caskinette Ford Dealership in Carthage, NY.

Concluding their letter, the Nortz family thanked everyone who stopped by over the past 100-plus-years, whether it was for a business transaction, or to simply say hello.
