NOTICE: Boonville Splash Pad closed until further notice; village officials cite parts needed following recent storms

BOONVILLE- Several residents ventured to the splash pad Friday, only to find a sign indicating that it was closed down until further notice.

With folks asking questions as to why, village officials released a memo Friday afternoon that indicates the splash pad sustained some sort of damage from stormy weather Thursday night.

New parts have been ordered to fix whatever issues plague the new spot to cool off in Boonville's Erwin Park.

Village officials did not explain exactly what was damaged or broken in their statement.
