NOTICE: First Lyons Falls local planning committee meeting planned for New York Forward

LYONS FALLS- Officials are pleased to announce the first upcoming meeting for the New York Forward Local Planning Committee and the village of Lyons Falls, NY.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend for comment. The meeting will take place Friday morning, June 16, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Lyons Falls Library, 3918 High Street.

There are ten statewide regional economic development councils and they all had the option of recommending two communities for $4.5 million NY Forward awards.

There was also an option for three communities, where one would receive the $4.5 million, while another two would receive $2.25 million. Lyons Falls was one of three granted with that funding locally.

Governor Kathy Hochul has committed $100 million for the first round of this program.

NY Forward works together with the state’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative to accelerate and prosper downtowns all across the state.
