NEWPORT- A resident from the Kuyahoora Valley area is faced with numerous accusations stemming from a reported domestic and child abuse case, authorities are reporting.
Tytis A. Markwardt, 31, of Poland, NY was arrested late Monday by the New York State Police (Herkimer). Markwardt is officially charged with two misdemeanor counts each of acting in a manner injurious to a child (under 17); along with one misdemeanor count each of criminal obstruction of breathing; menacing in the third-degree; assault (recklessly causing physical injury) and assault in the third-degree (w/intent to cause physical injury).
According to Troopers, these charges all stem from complaints of an alleged domestic case Monday night in the town of Newport.
At press time, police said an investigation was still pending.
An arrest status for Markwardt was not listed and there were no further details provided.
