LOWVILLE- Ribbon cutting ceremonies have been scheduled for early July to commemorate select buildings in Lewis County, including Outdoor Services and DMV/Board of Elections.

These observances have been scheduled for the afternoon of Tuesday, July 2, according to local officials. Listen to our latest on-air coverage with County Clerk, Jake Moser, for more details:

The festivities will begin at the Outdoor Services Building at 3:00 p.m., followed by light refreshments and tours of the new facility (across from the new County Garage on East Road).

At 3:20 p.m., there will be a ceremony at the DMV/Board of Elections building, followed by light refreshments and tours of the facility.

The public is welcome to attend both ceremonies and help celebrate the reopening of both buildings.

Please note the Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed at 2:00 p.m. that day to ensure staff proper time to finish transactions as well as prepare for tours of the facility.

Permit testing will end at 1:00 p.m.

The DMV will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

Officials apologize for any inconvenience.
