LOWVILLE- New York SIRE Stakes Harness Racing at the 202nd Lewis County Fair has officially been cancelled.

The announcement from fair officials Sunday claims circumstances that are “beyond our control.” To clarify, harness horse racing at Lewis County Fair has been cancelled by New York SIRE Stakes officials.

“We are saddened to cancel this event as it is a long-time standing tradition of the Lewis County Fair,” a statement from the fair office reads.

The fair board is apologizing to all spectators for any inconvenience or disappointment that may result from this development.
