Numerous fire departments called to town of Ohio structure fire

OHIO- Numerous area fire departments responded early Thursday to reports of a structure fire in western Herkimer County.

Details remain limited as of this report, but we do have confirmation from emergency dispatch that Poland Fire Department was the primary responder to 306 Billy Hamlin Road.

The initial calls came in at around 1:15 a.m.

Other fire departments providing mutual aid on-scene included Barneveld, Middleville, Newport and Remsen. 

Although we are awaiting official word from emergency officials, it appears the structure was destroyed, based on photographs taken by responders on-scene. 

We are anticipating more information to surface. We will share another update when anything new is available.
