
ONEIDA COUNTY- Several area fire departments were on the scene of a house fire Tuesday evening in Barneveld, NY.

Alarms sounded shortly before 7:30 p.m. Barneveld was the primary department to respond to reports of a structure fire at 107 Mappa Avenue.
Initial reports from 9-1-1 dispatch suggested a possible pellet stove fire in the wall, with smoke and flames in the house.
As of this report, we are waiting on further developments to surface from emergency responders.
Among other departments who assisted or were called for standby include: Floyd, Holland Patent, Newport, Remsen and Stittville Fire Departments, along with STaR Ambulance.
